One of the most frequent questions I get as an Akashic Record reader is regarding the “walk-in soul” phenomena. Despite many who believe that they may be walk-in souls or that certain individuals in the public eye are, it remains an uncommon event. I have researched the Akashic Records of several people who are rumored to be walk-ins and they are, in fact, not walk-ins at all. This is not to say that walk-in souls don’t exist; it’s just not as common of a practice as many believe. A major reason for this is because souls find it more interesting and have more growth potential when they play out an entire lifetime. A soul may start off a lifetime being selfish or a bad person but can still turn their life journey completely around to be a positive force in this world. One does not need to be a walk-in soul to accomplish this transformation.
Before we dive deeper into this topic and the types of walk-ins, let’s provide a clear definition. A walk-in soul is when one soul that has been with the same body since birth either leaves and is replaced or shared with another soul within the same body. This occurs when the birth soul or original soul has completed the cycle of learning and another soul agrees to take over or to join another in the body to experience the remainder of the lifetime. Regardless of how far along in the lifetime when a soul change occurs, it has been agreed upon by both souls during the planning stages of the incarnation prior to birth. Therefore, any walk-in agreements are always in place before a lifetime begins.
There are three types of walk-in soul scenarios
Not all walk-in souls are the same. Here are three variations in order of most frequent to least they are, Higher Self, Shared, and Complete. I have been told that 4 out of every 1,000 souls currently on Earth will be one of these types of walk-ins. Spirit confirmed that due to the importance of what is happening on Earth right now, there is a higher-than-average instance of walk-ins.
Higher Self Walk-Ins are most common. This scenario is always positive and makes up 50% of all walk-in souls. We are all multi-dimensional and there are many facets to our souls. The Higher Self is the apex of the soul and remains connected to the collective consciousness of the Universe and/or Spirit. When we receive intuitive information, it is often from our Higher Selves directly, although it could also come from our Spirit Guides. When we incarnate on lower dimensional realms such as Earth, there is a separation between the soul that’s inhabiting the physical body and the Higher Self. When one becomes a Higher Self Walk-In that separation is removed, and a consistent connection is formed. The personality stays the same because it is the same soul, but there may be an increased interest in spirituality. The Higher Self Walk-In will develop vastly increased psychic ability, increased healing abilities, increased knowledge, and protection. Even when in a lower dimensional reality, the body will be able to function at a higher dimensional level. The limitations that are present with the physical earthly body remain, but the extra sensory gifts will be elevated.
An agreement with your soul and its Spirit Guides will be made for this to occur at some point in the lifetime. This ‘transaction’ only happens with prior consent, and it will fit in with the souls’ journey during that incarnation at a specified time. At the time of the Higher Self taking over, those will experience some sort of psychic vision of either a massive white or golden light that they must walk through. It is not usually felt as physical stimuli, but it could be in rare instances.
Shared Walk-Ins are the second most common. In this situation two souls will be inhabiting and working together in the same body. This scenario can be either temporary or permanent and comprises 30% of all walk-in souls. The same soul partnership can carry over several lifetimes, not just one. This is also decided in the early planning stages of an incarnation. The secondary soul doesn’t necessarily share the life duties 50/50; it can just make up a tiny amount. This extra soul can be either positive or negative. Regardless of how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ this secondary soul is, this arrangement helps the original soul operate after experiencing trauma. Furthermore, the presence of a secondary soul does not automatically imply that the original soul or human being is bad or evil or that all those who have experienced severe trauma in their lives will encounter this soul situation. This secondary soul partnership will not be broken unless the original soul wants it gone as it is no longer needed. The original soul will be in control most of the time but the secondary one may take over in very specific circumstances and the original soul will lose some of their volition as a result.
Shared walk-ins and spiritual possessions are not the same
This secondary soul was intentionally allowed to share the experiences of the original soul. A Shared Walk-In is a free will agreement by both souls participating to facilitate an objective. A possession is an unagreed upon and intrusive attachment. Possessions can show up as a sudden change in personality or behavior in all areas of the persons’ life. Once a possession is removed the personality will go back to normal. The Shared Walk-Ins will not appear that way as they have usually been with the original soul for a long time and only affects behavior in specific life areas. It’s important to note that I do not remove possessions or break Shared Walk-In agreements, I simply wanted to educate others on the differences between the two.
Complete Walk-Ins are the most talked about yet least common scenario
When someone is referring to walk-in souls they are usually referring to the least common one, the Complete Walk-In. This is always a positive soul and occurs about 20% of the time. This is a very rigidly planned and agreed upon arraignment between the two souls during the initial planning stages of an incarnation. The original soul agrees to leave the body at some point during the lifetime and another soul takes its place. Some souls do not wish to commit to a full lifetime, perhaps they just want to do something very specific or finish up some life lessons. Instead of just agreeing to have a short lifetime (this happens all the time as well), another soul will want to take over to assist in some way. These Complete Walk-Ins are very mission driven once they take over the body. Being mission driven in a lifetime does not automatically mean that one is a Complete Walk-In, the walk-in scenario is much less commonplace amongst souls driven to help. This is also a short term, one lifetime agreement.
Occasionally, the new soul coming can be like the original soul as far as home world origins and/or similar talents, knowledge, and experiences. However, more often the soul has a very different background from the original soul. I am also told that the original soul and the walk-in soul may have no prior connection to each other (e.g., previous past lives together). When the new soul takes over a body the changes in personality and interests are done gradually so others who know the person well are not alarmed. This changeover is done with the least amount of cause for concern in mind. The same Spirit Guides remain with both the original soul and the new soul.
When I preform Akashic Record readings for clients, I can only read the soul record of the one that is inhabiting the body of the person at the time they agreed to allow me to read their record. Information about walk-ins and what type of walk-ins are not offered up automatically and I must specifically inquire if this has happened or if it is planned to occur in the future. Should you want your Akashic Record read by me click here. If you are also interested in knowing if are a walk-in soul please let me know beforehand so that I can ask.
